Missing Man's Table                            The table round--to show our everlasting concern for our missing men.
The tablecloth is
white--symbolizing the purity of their motives when answering the call to
duty. The single red rose, displayed in a vase,
reminds us of the life of each of the missing, and their loved ones and
friends of these Americans who keep the faith, awaiting answers.
The vase is tied with
a red ribbon, symbol of our continued determination to account for our
missing. A slice of lemon on the bread plate is to remind us of
the bitter fate of those captured and missing in a foreign land.
A pinch of salt symbolizes
the tears endured by those missing and their families who seek answers.
The Bible represents the strength gained through faith to sustain
those lost from our country, founded as one nation under God.
The glass is inverted--to symbolize
their inability to share this mornings /or days toast.
The chairs are empty--they are missing.

*To all of those who are waiting for the return of a loved one,
there are no words that can ease the pain you go through each and every day.
But i hope it helps in some small way to know (my) thoughts and prayers are
with you and your loved ones, so far away, as it is with my M.I.A-P.O.W

                     "In Memory of My Mia"

This is a tribute to my MIA/POW, Capt Alan R Trent, AirForce Pilot shot down over Cambodia on May 13, 1970. I wish every MIA/POW had someone to do a tribute to
them to remind others it's (not over ) till all are home where they belong. Remember they went over there for our country, our country should bring them back. I wear Alan's M.I.A/POW bracelet  in honor of him and to remind others not to forget. People have said Betty take it off,it's been a lot of years. I have had the bracelet off once in all these many many years, not by my choice, it's there day and night and through good and bad times. Alan's not alone, his memory and sacrifice for his country will not be forgotten as long as I can help it.I hope and pray America brings him home were he belongs, and give him and those who love him the peace they so deserve. It makes me proud  we share the same home state (Ohio),God Bless you Alan R Trent.

                                   Sincerely Yours
                                           Betty
